Ph.D. Expert in cultural studies, head of the Section for Film and Visual Culture of the Institute of Polish Culture, University of Warsaw. Researcher of cinematography, new media, media image circulation across registers of visual culture, and relations between visual culture and science. Analyses ways in which images contribute to and reflect cultural transformations. Interested in peripheries of visuality: technological changes, media experiments, and quests for new forms of expression. Author of the book W stronę wirtualności. Praktyki artystyczne kina współczesnego (Virtuality’s Way. Artistic Practices of Contemporary Cinema, 2015), co-editor of the anthology Sztuka w kinie dokumentalnym (Art in Documentary Cinema, 2016) and Cięcie ciał. Ruchome obrazy (Expurgation of Bodies.
