Marta Navrot

Studied intermedia at the Faculty of Intermedia of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and Interaction Design at the Glasgow School of Art. New media artist, designer and programmer of virtual worlds, disseminator of Open Source and Free Learning ideas, creator of multisensory and multiplayer virtual experiences, performer and author of textual content. Co-founder of the CyberPussy collective and independent publishing house with a focus on cyber- and xenofeminist oeuvre in the digital art context. Co-founder of the performative group Pussymantra. Was active in the VR Dream Adoption Society collective, creating virtual reality installations, i.a. in New York (during an artistic residency with The Wooster Group and LaMama theatres), Cracow (Juliusz Słowacki Theatre) and Warsaw (Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, Powszechny Theatre). Author of original video visualisations for a number of theatrical productions, i.a. Ivonne directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna (Theatre of Nations in Moscow, 2016), The Symposium directed by Krzysztof Garbaczewski (Nowy Theatre in Warsaw, 2018), Puppenhaus directed by Jędrzej Piaskowski (TR Warsaw, 2017), and Two Swords directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna (Shanghai, 2017). Co-director of NotFound: Structure of Digital Freedom, a VR multiplayer performance staged at the TR Warsaw in 2016. Has been collaborating permanently with Jagoda Wójtowicz as part of the Eternal Engine duo since 2016.
