Agata Konarska

Born in 1995. Graduate of intermedia at UAP (the University of the Arts, Poznań) (2018), currently a student at the Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her artistic activities are based on the use of various media, such as video, sound and performance, through which she creates interactive situations. More recently, she has also been creating virtual realities. In her work she touches upon the theme of religiousness, oscillating between the sacred and the profane. She explores the phenomenon of female iconicity, looking for anthropological origins of matriarchy and its references in the Anthropocene. She often uses political, geological and animalistic motifs. She is fascinated by contemporary myths and rituals and the approaching apocalypse. She notoriously dreams of animal hybrids and architectural spaciousness.
