Jakub Lech

Visual artist, lighting and multimedia engineer and director exploring areas of new technologies and interactive-immersive activities focused on image-sound and space relations. In the years 1998-2003, student of the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Co-founder and member of the art collective [IP] Identity Problem Group, and co-founder of the IP Studio. Draughtsman; author of animations, short films, visualisations, installations and multimedia treatments for several dozen theatrical performances, concerts and exhibitions. Collaborated with numerous theatres and directors in Poland and abroad, producing video projections and designing multimedia stage set components. Most recent theatrical performances he contributed to include i.a. Mofei, directed by Krystian Lupa (Tianjin Grand Theatre in Tianjin, China, 2017); Lokis, directed by Łukasz Twarkowski (Lithuanian National Drama Theatre in Vilnius, 2018); Jeńczyna, directed by Monika Strzępka (Helena Modrzejewska National Stary Theatre in Cracow, 2020). Most recent IP Group collective projects include Transforma as part of the 18th New Horizons International Film Festival (2018), Kontr-akt as part of the 18th Biennale of Media Art WRO 2019, and Lumen as part of the 20th New Horizons International Film Festival (2020).
